Hundreds of microwave
acronyms are explained in our acronym dictionary, and in some cases
are linked to other Microwaves101 pages for further reading. How's

Here's
a page on Greek letter usage in microwave engineering!
Note to users: these
acronyms are ones that we see commonly used in microwave engineering,
including integrated circuit processing. We don't want this list
to become too big to handle, so we will leave out all of the obnoxious
government acronyms you might encounter, like HERF (hazards of electromagnetic
radiation to fuels). The U.S. Government has many web sites that
will help you decode their verbal junkyard. The Association of Old
Crows (an electronic warfare organization with a tres cool name)
has an extensive
list of military acronyms for example.
Second note to users:
the overuse of acronyms in presentations is related to inferiority
complex. Dumb people use tons of acronyms without writing out the
definition, so that smart people in the audience will be forced
to ask, "Herr Dummkopf, what does KFC mean?" Always spell
out acronyms the first time you present them, or you will come off
as a jerk. BTW, KFC means greasy fried chicken...
