New for January 2010! A
common leg circuit is often used in a TR module. In this case you
get to use one amplifier for both transmit and receive. In some
cases, a phase shifter or attenuator can be part of the common leg
as well. In this case, these components do not have to be reciprocal,
for example, you could use an active phase shifter such as a vector
modulator.
There are (of course) performance
tradeoffs to consider...
More to come!
