SMP connectors are miniature push-on connectors, origially invented by the Gilbert company under the tradename GPO. GPO and GPPO are registered trademarks of Gilbert and the generic terms are SMP MIL-STD 348, 326-1 thru -5,and SMPM MIL-STD-348; 328-1 thru -3. "OSM" is the Omni Spectra version of SMP, and stands for Omni Spectra push-on. Thanks to Ruth at Emerson for clearing that up!

More to come!
