Corporate power dividers

New for July 2005! Or should we say "coming soon?"

What's a corporate power divider? Most "simple" power dividers perform a two-way split. What if you need to feed more components? For example, if you are designing a six-channel receiver, and you have to provide six LO signals?

By cascading two-way power dividers, you can get 2, 4, 8, 16 etc. outputs. Every stage drops the signal by -3.02 dB ideally. So the loss of a 4-way corporate divider has an ideal loss of -6.04 dB, an eight way has -9.06 dB, etc. In practice, you will experience additional loss.

More coming soon!
