AI in Microwave Engineering

This is a quick recap of two AI demos at IMS2026

First was ZapRF's demo for designing SSPAs using AI. They want to sell you this service, it picks amplifiers from a database, then figures out how many to combine and how to drive it.   Basically the lkid of thing you might do with a spreadsheet, but a lot deeper.   Unless you have some serious non-linear models or load-pull data, and measured combiner performance, you might be fooling yourself.

 

Miller MMIC

Miller MMIC has an inhouse design capability called RapidRF.  It allows them to create many more designs without hiring additional dresigners
